100 Years Of The Stanislavsky System and Modern Actor Training

We are delighted to announce that on Thursday, January 15th from 4-6pm we are hosting a lecture for present students and faculty by Sergei Tcherkasski, Ph.D, D.Sc.  Dr. Tcherkasski is one of the foremost Russian scholars of Stanislavsky and the head of The Acting Studio at the renown St. Petersburg Theatre Arts Academy. He has taught, lectured and directed at many of the world’s leading acting institutes, published more than 50 titles and has been Artistic Director of one of the foremost Russian companies – the Pushkin Drama Theatre (Krasnoyarsk); Director at the Liteinyi Theatre in St.Petersburg and the Mossoviet Academic Theatre in Moscow. Currently he is in New York researching the progression of the Stanislavsky system and how it relates to the Meisner Technique and modern acting. It promises to be a very interesting lecture!
