How to Apply

The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre accepts applications on a rolling basis for all programs. Applications are reviewed as they are received and remain open until each program reaches capacity. Because we are a small, selective conservatory, early application is strongly encouraged.

Applicants may apply to the Two-Year Professional Actor Training Program [2YC], the Six-Week Summer Intensive [6WK], or the Pre-College Conservatory [PCC] using the same general process outlined below.

Application Process

Applying to The Neighborhood Playhouse involves submitting the required application materials and, if selected, completing an Artistic Review (Interview/Audition) with the school.

All interviews and auditions are conducted via Zoom.

Applicants selected for an Artistic Review will be asked to prepare:

  • A 1–2 minute contemporary monologue

Questions at any point in the process may be directed to Admissions at
