First-Year Crew assignment

As part of the first-year curriculum, students take part in hands-on production crew assignments for each of our four major shows. This training places them in rotating backstage roles, including board operation, sound and video playback, stage management, set building, wardrobe, props, and front-of-house work, all under the guidance of our professional technical staff. Through this process, students learn the practical skills required to help run fully realized theatrical productions and gain essential experience with the industry-standard tools and practices used in rehearsal and performance. These crew assignments are a core component of the conservatory experience and an essential complement to the acting work done in the classroom.
